The Remember 9-11 Ride committee would like to extend a hearty thanks to all who showed up for the 2006 Remember 9-11 Ride. We had roughly 300-500 riders, a beautiful day and a great ride all the way into Ground Zero.
If you have any photos you would like to share with us, please send them along and we'll place them on our site. Also, if you took any video of the event we would like to see this too.
On September 11, 2001, a terrible tragedy was perpetrated on the United States. Over 3,000 innocent people were murdered. Numerous firefighters, police officers and other emergency personnel gave their lives in an effort to save others. For many, the events and images of this day are forever etched into our memories, but for those who may need a reminder, click here.
Remember 9-11 Ride '2005'
Held on September 10th of 2005, the Remember 9-11 Ride once again shows the people of New York City that there are many New Englanders who still remember that tragic day and the thousands of lives lost. We had a group of about 300 bikers this year that made the trek down to Ground Zero to remember and honor those who died that day, especially the men and women in uniform who put our lives ahead of their own. Remember 9-11 Ride '2004'
Although the turnout was considerably less than the previous year, the spirit and camaraderie of the group was spectacular. There were roughly 350 riders for the 3rd annual Remember 9-11 Ride that was held on September 19th, 2004. The weather was fantastic, the people of New York were awesome and the ride was a huge success. More details...
Remember 9-11 Ride '2003'
This great tribute to the innocent victims of September 11, 2001 was surpassed by the overwhelming turnout for the second annual Remember 9-11 Ride that was held on September 21, 2003. Over 2000 people registered and rode from Hopkinton, MA, Wallingford and Greenwich, CT, to Ground Zero and the Hell's Kitchen Firehouse in New York City. More details...
Remember 9-11 Ride '2002'
On October 6th, 2002, a handful of friends planned to get together to honor those who died with a ride from Boston, MA, through Hartford, CT, to Ground Zero in New York City. The "handful" of friends ended up being over 200 bikes.
